Tuesday bible studies

Tuesday Studies meet at 8:45am and start with a buffet breakfast. The program begins at 9am with worship and prayer, we have time around our tables and are finished by 11am.

When you register for Bible study, we will assign you to a leader. We have a wonderful group of leaders who are excited to get to know you! Joining a table with some ladies and a leader that you may not know can feel intimidating, but it's a great way to build relationships and to have to people and personalities speaking into your life. If you are continuing with us from Fall of 2025, you will remain at the same table this semester.

We offer childcare for nursery through preschool age children, and we also offer a class for homeschool age children. We do not charge for our childcare, but we do take an offering each week to help offset expenses.

Here are the details on our 3 morning options. The Proverbs study meets in the auditorium. Precepts meets upstairs in Room 201. At the Well (a new study option!) meets upstairs in Room 205.

The Way of Wisdom, A Study of Proverbs
The book of Proverbs describes godly wisdom as a path that leads to life and flourishing. It also warns of the folly of worldly wisdom as a path that leads to the grave. Every day we face the choice between the true riches of God’s instruction or the fool’s gold of earthly pleasures and pursuits. How often do we call to mind the wisdom found in the sayings of Proverbs to shed light on the path before us? How relevant do we even believe these ancient words are to our modern world? In The Way of Wisdom, teachers Jen Wilkin, Ruth Chou Simons, Kelly Minter, Adrienne Camp, Elizabeth Woodson, and Courtney Doctor invite you over 8 weeks to place your feet firmly on the path of life revealed in the book of Proverbs. As you consider wisdom principles on everyday topics like words, work, friendship, marriage, parenting, neighborliness, money management, leadership influence, and more, you’ll discover the wisdom of Proverbs as an invitation to steadily walk God’s way in God’s world.

Precept Study: Matthew Books 1 & 2
Who is the promised Messiah, the King who will sit on the throne of David? What is His kingdom? What is the character and lifestyle of those who are a part of this kingdom? Matthew Part 1 answers these questions and brings you face-to-face with the long-awaited Jewish Messiah. Walk with Jesus through the towns and villages of the Galilee, see the miracles He performs—healing the sick, casting out demons, calming the seas. Listen to His teaching as He explains His kingdom. And then evaluate your life against the standard Jesus holds high and ask: Does my life show that I’m part of His kingdom?

What is a precept study?
Precept uses the inductive method of bible study, digging deep into the richness of God's word. The inductive study method is an investigative approach to the Bible using three basic components: Observation, Interpretation and Application.

At the Well: A Study for Bible Study Beginners
Have you been a Christian for a while, but Bible study feels overwhelming? Are you a new believer but don't know where to start?

"At the Well" refers to the story of Jesus and the Samaritan Woman in John 4. In this story, Jesus met a woman where she was at and transformed her whole life.

In this group, you will have the opportunity to meet Jesus in the same way. "At the Well" offers a smaller, more intimate setting in which to learn how to study God’s Word. You will be provided with practical, foundational tools with lots of support from our leaders as you study.

This semester "At the Well" will be utilizing a "Meet Me in the Bible" curriculum, through Colossians & Philemon.

Live Free, A Study of Galatians by Elizabeth Woodson
We long for peace, to have lives marked by freedom from difficulty and pain. We look to countless places to fill this need—our possessions, relationships, intellect, spirituality, political affiliations, and so on. But, by relying on these things for freedom, we unintentionally make them our savior instead of Christ. This exchange leaves us enslaved to a false gospel and to the very things we hoped would set us free.

In this 8-session study on the book of Galatians, author and Bible teacher Elizabeth Woodson reveals that the struggle to fully embrace our freedom in Christ is not a new problem. Walking verse-by-verse through Paul's letter, Elizabeth highlights how this letter teaches us that in the gospel alone do we gain what we desire—freedom from sin and freedom to experience true peace, living the abundant life Jesus offers.
